5 Things I’m Loving Lately

September 2022

While it’s been consistently 90* here in Denver, despite it being the beginning of September, the mornings and evenings are starting to cool down, offering hints of Fall.

I love a good hoodie, and this one caught my eye during an online scroll - good job marketers! ;-)

It’s super soft, the dark grey is my jam, along with the colorful and powerful messages... I’m loving it! You’ll be seeing me in it a lot this season.

I was introduced to Cait Donovan through a continuing education webinar via my my EMDR Trainer, Rebecca Kase & Co (check out her guest episode here). The topic was therapists & burnout, and while I’ve long been interested in the topic of burnout - and have personally provided guest lectures on Vicarious Trauma & Compassion Fatigue - it wasn’t until I was listening to this webinar that I realized, “Holy Sh**! I’m. Burnt. Out.”

I plan to write a blog about the discovery of my personal burnout and my ongoing recovery, so stay tuned (once posted, I’ll add the link here).

Unfortunately I am unable to share that specific webinar with you, but I can direct you to her podcast - https://www.friedtheburnoutpodcast.com/. Cait provides wonderful resources & engaging conversations - it might be just the thing you need to take a new look at your current struggles.

Celebrating 6 years in private practice!

Thank you mom & dad for the surprise, celebratory flowers. <3

This healthy reminder about grief… Grief does not happen in stages. Grief is not a destination and one day we’re healed or “over it.” Some days you might be fairly glitter free, other days you might be covered in it.

A friend introduced me to Anna Przy on Instagram (@akprzy), and let’s just say I’m obsessed! She is real, honest, and funny - and on several days, she has offered reminders I really needed to hear.

If you haven’t seen her, do yourself a favor and go introduce yourself to her NOW.
